Xavier Chavis-Oxendine the precious infant son of Roosevelt (Trey) Chavis III and Josephine (Josie) Oxendine of Red Springs, North Carolina was born and entered into his heavenly home on July 30, 2019. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Roosevelt Chavis, Wilma Chavis, Riley Locklear Jr., Charlie Bullard and Glenda Bullard, great great-grandparents, Settles and Ann Oxendine, one aunt, Rosemary Oxendine.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Roosevelt (Trey) Chavis III and Josephine ( Josie) Oxendine of the home; paternal grandparents, Cynthia Chavis and Roosevelt Judge Chavis Jr; maternal grandfather, Joseph Oxendine. maternal grandmother, Dawn Oxendine and her husband Carson Dean. grandmother Raegan Jacobs, Paternal great-grandmother, Irene Locklear, great-grandfather, Ted W. Locklear. Godfather, William Hunt (Little Will). Aunts: Courtney Chavis, Amanda K.Chavis, Crystal M. Chavis, Sandy Oxendine, Harmony Oxendine, Halona Oxendine, Geraldine Jacobs and Kelly Oxendine. Uncle: Joseph Lee Oxendine Jacobs, one great-aunt Marissa Locklear, three great-uncles, William Locklear and wife Denise, Wayde B. Locklear, and Travis Locklear. two cousins, Mallary Oxendine and Kasen Oxendine.
