Wyvie Jones Obituary

 Mr.Wyvie Jones Sr. of Shannon was born Saturday, May 11, 1940 in Robeson County to the late Graharm Locklear and Ruthie Mae Jones and was born into eternity Monday, December 28, 2020, The Greens at Pinehurst Rehabilitation & Living Center, completing his journey of 80 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother: Joseph Jacobs; 2 sisters: Flora Jane Jones and Bessie Mae Stafford; 2 daughters:  Janice Jones-Brewington and Jeannette Jones.  Mr. Jones enjoyed Singing, Playing the Guitar, Fishing and working with his hand.

He leaves to cherish his memory: 5 sons; Charles Jacobs of Columbus Ohio, Allen Jacobs and wife Debbie, Billy Joe Jacobs of Lumberton, Captain Wyvie Jones Jr. of Omaha Nebraska and Simon Locklear and wife Jane of Raeford.  four daughters: Laura Ann Baldwin and husband Nigel, Diann Blue and husband Wayne, Dr. Annette Jones and husband Walter and Carol Jean Jones all of Shannon.  six brothers: Jerry Jones and wife Anita both of Raeford, Walter Jones, Gearnes  Jones and wife Madeline, Harlen Jones and wife Cara Beth, Raymond Jones and wife Kathy and Julius Jones all of Shannon.  2 sisters: Nadine Hammonds and Amanda Locklear of Shannon. 4 grandchildren: Bianca Storm Harold, Tony Hunt, Justus Ann Brewington and Julia Jones.  2 great grandchildren Kaliyah Flowers and Noah Hunt all of Shannon as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
