Mr. William Swift, age 83 of 95 Udell Rd, Lumberton, N.C. passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his residence. He was the son of Mr. William James Swift and was born on December 31, 1934. Mr. Swift was preceded in death by his wife Louise Swift; three sons, Kenny Tyler, Eric Kincaid and Larry Tyler, two grandchildren; Mark Chavis and Jason Chavis.

Mr William was a veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Six daughters, Carol Chavis, Judith Locklear and husband Jimmy, Betty Tyler, and Penny Tyler all of Lumberton, NC. Jennia Freeman of Delaware, Angela Kincaid of New York, Three sons;  Charles Tyler of Lumberton,NC, Harry Tyler of West Minister, Maryland, and Danny Kincaid of Stewart Pennsylvania; 15 grandchildren , 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Special grandchildren that was near to his heart and he loved like they were his own, Alana Nicole Scott, Ayanna Nehaven Chavis, Adrianna Halo Ellerbe, Cody Anthony Chavis, Miriam Jarvis and Arnold Jarvis and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
