Wanda Hall Locklear, 64, of Red Springs NC was born on December 23, 1960 to Thomas and Odessa Hall. Wanda departed her earthly home at UNC Memorial Hospital on April 22, 2025. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hall; a special niece, Shauntina Collins; two nephews, Jonathon Hall(Thomas) and Jimmy Collins(Duke); her maternal grandparents, Ponce DeLeon and Pauline Chavis; and paternal grandmother, Eula Mae Locklear.
Wanda obtained her Masters Degree in Education from UNC Pembroke and began her teaching career at Oxendine Elementary. She taught PreK there for nearly 30 years and retired. She enjoyed going to church to worship the Lord and spending time with her family.
Wanda leaves to cherish in her memory her husband of 41 years Kenneth Locklear, of the home; one daughter, Deanna Collins(Marcus) of Red Springs NC; two granddaughters Madison and Mariah Mitchell of Red Springs NC; her mother, Odessa Hall of Lumberton NC; two sisters, Cecilia Hall(Jimmy) of Lumberton NC; Paula Bruce(Terry) of Lumberton NC; one brother, Tommie Lloyd(TK) of Pembroke NC; a special life long friend Susan Locklear of Raeford NC; a multitude of family, church family, and friends.
