Vondell Locklear

Mrs. Vondell Lowery Locklear, of Lumberton, North Carolina was born on May 12, 1955.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard & Vashtie Lowery, siblings, Michael Lowery, Freda Dial, James Lowery, Lee Arnold Lowery, Truman Lowery, Vernona Dial and Willie Lee Lowery.

Mrs. Vondell has three sisters, Shirley Locklear, of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Ruth Hammonds, of Lumberton, North Carolina; and Kay Lowery, of Pembroke, North Carolina;  Mrs. Locklear has four children, Ron Dale Locklear (Jewel), Bobby Dean Lowery (Brandy), Lee Hunt, and John Hunt, whom she loved dearly.

Mrs. Vondell’s family is from the Saddletree Community, located in Lumberton, North Carolina. Her grandparents on her mother’s side, were Addie Locklear and Maretus Angus Chavis, her grandparents on her father’s side were Bent & Rose Lowery. They lived on Shannon Road in Lumberton, North Carolina. Mrs. Vondell has a large family also, 23 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Mrs. Vondell will truly be missed by her sons and family. Another beautiful angel, with the Lord. Rest In Peace.
