Virginia Hunt Brooks

Mrs. Virginia Hunt Brooks age 97 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on August 31, 1928, to the late Maidie Hunt Locklear in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life to her heavenly home on December 15, 2025, at Glen Flora Skilled Nursing Facility, Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with her mother she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Brooks, and a stepdaughter, Rhonda Brooks.

Mrs. Virginia leaves to cherish her memories one stepson: Howard James "Sonnie" Brooks and wife Ginger, one daughter: Carol Chavis, one brother: Alford Locklear (Brenda), one sister: Reba Sanderson, four grandchildren: Stacey Holden (Perry), Kacie Locklear, Lawrence Cuneo (Veronica), Angela Cuneo, two step grandchildren: Ryan Brooks (Kayla), Travis Brooks (Jennifer), nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
