Vickie Brooks

Vickie Brooks, 62 of 384 Silo Drive, Rowland, North Carolina departed this life Sunday, September 1, 2024 at UNC Health Southeastern Regional Medical Center.  Ms. Brooks was born in Robeson County on January 8, 1962 to the late Thadis and Annie Mae Brooks.  She is preceded in death by her father, mother, sisters, Carol and Faye, and brothers, Sam and Ricky.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kelly P. Brooks and Anna Brooks, both of the home; two special granddaughters, Princess Denise Locklear and Victoria Brooks, both  of the home; two grandsons, Tyheim Purdie, of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina; and Jayden Brooks, of Rowland, North Carolina; special son Ken Locklear, Jr., of the home; three sisters, Edith Hunt, of Rowland, North Carolina; Layla Oxendine, of Pembroke, North Carolina; and Pamela Locklear, of Lumberton, North Carolina; seven brothers, Jr. Ransom, Harley Brooks, Thadis Brooks, Jr. (Leah), Theodore Brooks (Mary), Dallas Brooks (Rose), Glenn Brooks (Brenda), and Gary Brooks; special nieces and nephews, Tisa, Pop, Miranda, Mary Wanda, Porchia, Keela, Calaeb, Austin, Teddy, Ginger, Lexi and London.
