Tracy Devane Barrett was born to the late Linda Virginia Hill on September 6, 1965 in Fayetteville, North Carolina and departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his residence in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Tracy was a gifted artist, welder, and he had a black belt in karate. In fact, he spent most of his teen years practicing martial arts and teaching the neighbor kids self-defense. He used to love to kick trees to strengthen his legs and taught his younger cousins, nieces and nephews kick boxing. He attended Pine Forest High School, but he finished High School at Fayetteville Tech Community College in 1984. After mastering his skills in martial arts, he went on to compete in The Tough Man Contest and won many trophies and black belts.
He was preceded in death his mother: Linda V. Hill, his grandmother, Gertrude Barrett, his aunts, Shirley Whitaker, Dorothy McEachern; his uncle, James Barrett and his brother, Desmond Aldridge.
Left to cherish his memories is his siblings, Marcella (Eric) Bostic of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Michael (Tineka) Joyner of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Daniel (Lisa) Brawley of Philadelphia, Philadelphia. The Mother of his children, Anita Morrison of Fayetteville, North Carolina. An incredibly special friend of the family, Angela McArthur of Fayetteville, North Carolina; He was a beloved father of three children, Corinthia Star (Deontaye) Riggings, Dominque Nicole Thompson, and Bradley Leon Thompson; he also leaves grandchildren, Deontaye Jr., and Amir Riggings. Other survivors are his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins. Tracy’s legacy in the community will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
