Mrs. Shirley "Cheryl" Huggins Rogers age 73 of St. Pauls, North Carolina was born on July 15, 1952, to the late Mr. Lonnie Huggins and Ruby Rowell Huggins in Robeson County. She departed this life on Friday December 19, 2025, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Huggins, Robert Lonnie Huggins, Jerry Huggins.
Mrs. Cheryl was an active dedicated and serving member of New Collins Chapel Church located in Lumber Bridge, North Carolina. Mrs. Cheryl was a Sandhills Walk (#104) Emmaus Community Member and also a member of the NC Order of Eastern Star Chapter #8.
Cheryl married the love of her life Russell Wesley Rogers on August 25, 1977, in Dillon South Carolina and was a wonderful wife Wesley always called her "My Girl". She also was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a friend to many and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a diehard UNC Carolina Fan.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 48 years Russell Wesley Rogers of the home. Two sons, Christopher Lee Rogers, Wesley Eric Rogers and wife Sheena all of the home, one brother, Mark Dwayne Huggins of Lumberton, North Carolina; three sisters, Libby Tedder (Anthony) of the home, Ruth Huggins, Martha Smith both of Lumberton, North Carolina; one brother-in-law, Michael Steven Rogers of Lumberton, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Kaitlin Brooke Rogers, Alissa Clina Rogers, Dakota McMillan, two great-grandchildren, five special nieces, Kimberly Jacobs, Elizabeth Howell, April Jacobs, Shannon Tedder, Spring Conde, three special nephews, Michael Mitchell, JW Jacobs, Talon Day, two special friends, Mattie Ransom and Rometia Clark, her Boston Terrier baby "Coco" and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
