Sgt. Johnny Thomas Tew age 75 of Rowland, North Carolina was born on July 18, 1949, to the late Mr. John Branson Tew and late Mrs. Dorothy Irene Tew in Robeson County. He departed this life into eternity on Wednesday, October 09, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Tew, one son, Ryan Watts, two brothers, James Tew and Percy Tew.
Sgt. Tew proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 until 1972. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60Device, Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter Kimberly Williamson, of Rowland, North Carolina; three sons, Johnny Tew of Carthage, North Carolina; Tony Tew of Aberdeen, North Carolina; David Watts of Wagram, North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
