Mr. Roy Barton age 60 of Laurinburg, North Carolina was born on February 7, 1960 to the late Hubert Barton and Mrs. Betty Oxendine Barton in Scotland County, North Carolina. He departed this life on March 31, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Along with his father he was preceded in death by his brothers Eddie Barton and Charles Bullard.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Kim Tew Barton of the home, two sons James Chavis Jr. of Laurinburg, North Carolina, Joshua Barton of the home, five daughters Miranda Tew of Pembroke, North Carolina, Mary Tew and Brandi Tew, both of the home, Charisna Tew of Maxton, North Carolina, Chyenne Barton of Fayetteville, North Carolina, his mother Betty Barton of Maxton, North Carolina, one brother Jimmy Barton of Maxton, one sister Dana Barton of Raleigh, North Carolina, twelve grandchildren, his father in law Johnny Tew of Laurinburg, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
