ROBERT LEE STOCKS’ STORY
Robert was born in Red Springs, North Carolina, on January 1, 1950. He was the third of five children born to Jack and Blanchie Stocks, both of whom preceded him in their transition to be with our heavenly family. His sister Gloris Jane Stocks-Ferguson also preceded him in her heavenly transition. Robert made his transition joining his heavenly family in the early hours of Saturday, March 8, 2025.
Robert grew up in Red Springs to a loving family. He attended Peterson High School, now Peterson Elementary School. At a young age Robert elected to leave Red Springs living in Durham, NC, Newark, NJ, and New York City, NY. However, he returned and settled down in Red Springs where he married Linda Faye Ray, who transitioned in 2011, and began a family.
During his life Robert worked at several companies, made many friends and was a helping hand to a host of people both within and outside his family. He enjoyed being around family, watching pro football, and being a helping hand to others, especially the elderly.
Robert is survived by two children, Theresa McCoy-Summers (Roger) New York City NY, Robert Stocks Jr. (USAF) (Natalie) stationed in Germany, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, four brothers, Jackie Stocks (Sarah) Red Springs, NC, Frederick Stocks Greensboro, NC, Ronnie Stocks (Cheryl) Anchorage, AK, And Otis Flowers (Mona) Fayetteville, NC, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
