Mr. Robert Jr Strong age 38 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on July 16, 1986, to Robert Mitchell Strong and Dessa Ree Jones in Scotland County, North Carolina. He departed this life on November 26, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Mr. Woodrow and Cearlean Strong, maternal grandparents, Walter and Lula Jones, one sister, Crystal Jones, one nephew, Daylan Bullard and special uncle William H. Strickland.
Robert was a truly outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a jack of all trades. Robert could fix about anything he put his mind and hands too. Above all Robert loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Spending time during the Holidays was special to him. Robert was very visible in the community and very well-known not just being limited to Robeson and surrounding counties.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of twenty-one years, Lashonda Bryant. Robert and Lashonda became fond of each other at a very young age. committing to each other at the age of seventeen. Together they began a beautiful family including two sons, Hunter and Haiden Strong, two daughters, Hailey and Harley Chavis all of Maxton, North Carolina; four sisters Ashley Strong of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Cheyenne Strong of Hamlet, North Carolina; April Green of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Tasha Strickland of Maxton, North Carolina; his grandmother, Faye Strong of five nephews, Nyleja Strong, Noah Bullard, Tristen Bullard, Zachary Bullard and Nantao McLaughlin, three nieces, Jasmine Taber, Harmony Taber, Morgan Bullard, three great nephews and two great nieces. Special daughter in law, Tacoya Jones, special mother in law, Jane Strickland, special grandmother, Georgeann Barnes of Maxton, North Carolina and a host of other family and friends. Haiden quote "Daddy was my best and my Ride or Die" Robert will surely be missed.
