Rita Callahan Bell age 61 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born to the late Hearl Dean (Pete) and Mary Lee Callahan on March 18, 1962. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, peacefully at home with her family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Kelvin Dwayne Bell and her brother Mack Callahan.
She worked many years as a USDA Inspector. She attended the UP Church in Red Springs. She loved her kids and made many sacrifices for them all her life. She loved to read her bible and use her phone for games and for her "Good Morning" ministry to motivate and inspire people.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Katasha Oxendine (Weymon Jr.) and Novella Locklear both of Red Springs, North Carolina, one son: Demps Locklear of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina, a nephew: Brian Scott a niece: Brittany Callahan both of Red Springs, North Carolina who she helped raise, one sister: Glenda Callahan of Red Springs, North Carolina, ten grandchildren: Tariah Ferguson, Kohnner Oxendine, Clara McCollum, James McCollum, Kassie McEachern, Brandy Bell, Aiden Lowery, Dymun Locklear, Danyla Locklear, and Daisey Locklear, two great grandchildren: Infinity and Ja'Kir, a long time family friend: Ronald Locklear, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
