Mr. Otis Dial age 85 of Pigeon Forge, TN formerly of Red Springs, North Carolina departed this life on October 10. 2023. He was born to Emma Dial Locklear on November 20, 1937. His work consisted of Construction mostly with Daniel Construction Company. He also loved his days of working on the Shrimp Boats in Florida, Texas and Louisana. This is where he learned to cook and love Cajun food. In his younger days he was a Golden glove Champion boxer in Greensboro, NC. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Otis was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Dial Locklear, his special nephew who he loved like a son he never had. Lacoskie Locklear. Brothers, Stacy Locklear, Lewis Locklear Jr, his cousin siblings: Darlene Locklear, Ernest Dial, and Monique Locklear.
He is survived by his daughter, Emma Jean Brooks (Dr. Peter Brooks); his grandchildren, Dominique Brooks, Dr. Dalton Brooks III, (Nikki) and Damilia Brooks Quintanilla (JJ): four great grandchildren: Carlos Brooks, Jay Quintanilla, Myla Brooks, and Delilah Jean Quintanilla, His brother, Bricy Dial of Little Rock Arkansas, His cousins who were raised as his siblings after his mother passed; Arlene, Sonny and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
If you ever met him you would never forget him. He was a " one of a kind" with a heart of gold.
