Natasha Nicole Oxendine

Natasha Nicole Oxendine (Nosh, Tosh, DJ Nasty Nosh), 38, left this world untimely and leaves a host of devastated family and friends in her wake.  But before we get there, here’s a little about her.

 Natasha has overcome many challenges in her lifetime and beat many odds.  She was an amputee and encouraged others on this path after walking herself and making it look like a walk in the park.  She was a licensed esthetician and professional makeup artist.  She had the pleasure of enhancing the beauty of many women in the area and took much pride in her work.  One of Natasha’s greatest joys was being an aunt and she helped raise 3 of her nieces and nephews while their parents went to med school and/or worked.  She followed in her mother’s footsteps and was an annual contributor to St. Jude’s Hospital.  As she was a night owl, she was commonly referred to as Head of the Neighborhood Watch (she did indeed give herself this title but it actually worked out well). If anything suspicious happened in the neighborhood,

Tosh was sure to know about it.

She was born on July 5th, 1984 to Diane Marie Jones (Mom Dukes) and Tony Oxendine (Pops).  She was the ‘baby’ of 4 siblings and never missed a chance to remind anyone of her rank in the family.  Her inferior siblings that came earthside before her were Ian Oxendine (Nin) and his wife Dr. Toni Oxendine (Chelle), CDR Joseph Oxendine (the hyena) and his wife LCDR Natalie Jenkins Oxendine, Toni McKenzie (Chelle) and her husband Joseph McKenzie.  They have been knowingly and unknowingly under her charmed spells since day one.  Natasha was loyal, funny, empathetic, drop dead gorgeous, strong, encouraging, honest and just someone that you genuinely wanted to be around.  Even though she commonly referred to her siblings as her ‘peasants’, they were the most important people in the world to her and there was nothing she would not do for them.  Tosh has 2 nieces and 2 nephews: Elora Oxendine (Monkey) and Gabriella Brave Oxendine (Chip), Nicholas Oxendine (Buddy) and Josiah Oxendine (the Wee Baby JT). N

Natasha leaves behind two grandmothers - Louise Pate who always gave her a hard time about her love of tattoos and Rosabell Woods who shared her love of all things glamorous.  She was blessed to have a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and more that loved her and cherish the memories they created together.

Natasha was greeted in the afterlife by her wonderful mother and stepfather Diane and McKeithan Jones and her niece Pfc. Ma’Kayela Chagolla.  Waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge were her fur babies that went before – Diego and Penny.

To know Tosh was to love her and those that had the privilege will never forget.
