He departed this life into eternity on January 03, 2021 at his home. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, April Hunt Lambert, brother, Jerry Allen Lambert, maternal grandparents: Curtis and Adline Locklear, paternal grandparents: Evans and Dessie Lambert.

He leaves to cherish his children: Kim Ray Lambert Jr, Bryson Isaiah Lambert, Deja Henderson, and Christian Ray Lambert. mother, Alice Locklear Garby and stepfather James J. Garby Sr. of Maxton, North Carolina; two sisters: Bobby JO Locklear of Pembroke,North Carolina; Stephanie Faye Lambert of Pembroke, North Carolina; one brother, Ray Junior Lambert of Lumberton, North Carolina; girlfriend: Marianne Locklear, step-brother: James J. Garby Jr. step-sister, Theresa H. Ambrose. three grandchildren: Kinston Ray Lambert, Dey"liana Locklear and Esmaretta Lambert. A host of other relatives and friends.
