Milton Edward Rogers, Jr., age 69 of Raeford, NC, entered his Heavenly home on June 22, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Milton was born in Wake County, NC, on May 13, 1955, to the late Milton and Marion Rogers of Winston Salem, NC.
Milton lived in various places as an adult but settled down in Hoke County in Raeford, NC. There, he met Ms. Beverly Cummings. They were very close friends, parents, and grandparents to their four children. His greatest blessings were his family and friends, especially his daughters, son, grandchildren, and his beloved pets.
By trade, Milton was a master painter. He also honorably served as a United States Army Medic from July 18, 1974 until July 15, 1977.
Milton very much enjoyed all types of fishing, listening to country and bluegrass music, and was an avid animal lover.
Milton is proceeded in death by his parents listed above; and sister, Cathy Golding.
Milton is survived by his three daughters; Lara Rogers Nelms of Raeford, NC, Brooke Oxendine (Michael) of Raeford, NC, Kimberly Brewer (Travis) of Raeford, NC; son, Richmond Cummings of Rockingham, NC; sisters Connie Flanigan (William) of Mayodan, NC, Cheryl Queen (Tim) of Winston Salem, NC; special friend, Beverly Cummings of Raeford, NC; eight grandchildren Caleb Jones, Seth Brewer, Kamryn Brewer, Olivia Nelms, Ava Nelms, Zabian Nelms, Christian Cummings, and a soon-to-be born baby girl, Hannah Oxendine, due in September; two special cousins considered as siblings Tony Cooke and Bonnie Culver; his four beloved pets Bella, Lucky, Bud, and grand-pup, Gracie.
Milton departed this earth leaving many loved ones, both family and friends, who will cherish and love him forever and always. His family legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren.
There will be an intimate service for close family and friends to celebrate his life.
