Michael Hunt age 72 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on December 30, 1951, to the late William H. Knight and the late Carlene Hunt in Cumberland County, North Carolina. He departed this life on January 21, 2024, at his residence. 

Michael leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Sonja Hunt of the home, two sons: Michael Hunt Jr. and Mickey Hunt both of Lumberton, North Carolina, one stepson: Donnie Smith of Hope Mills, North Carolina, one daughter: Priscilla Hunt of Lumberton, North Carolina, two stepdaughters: Victoria Smith of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Louann Smith of Savannah, Georgia, one sister: Carolyn Knight of Lumberton, North Carolina, one grandchild: Mickey Hunt Jr., along with a host of other relatives and friends.
