In loving memory of our mother Ms. Melissa Jane Brooks, also known as Lissa and Boo to family and friends, of Normal Street, Pembroke, North Carolina.
Ms. Melissa was born on July 21, 1972, to Mrs. Joann Brooks Spory, of Pennsylvania and the late Mr. Currancy Brooks in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on Monday, September 11, 2023.
Ms. Melissa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Lena Mae Hunt, paternal grandparents , Butler and Eula Brooks, and one great-nephew, Master Bentley Locklear.
Ms. Melissa leaves behind to cherish her memories: two sons, Mr. Eric Brooks (Jamie), and Mr. Josh Woodell; one daughter, Ms. Merresa Hoffman; one brother, Mr. Currancy Brooks, Jr.; two nieces, Mrs. Lena Strickland, and Ms. Marie Brooks; a nephew, Currancy Brooks III also known as PaPa Daddy, whom she loved as her own children; another niece and a friend, Casey R. Brooks; ten grandchildren, Brendon, Caleb, Adam, Adriana, Andrew, Arica, Alaina, Madison, Zack, and Aubrey. five great nieces and four great-nephews and two very special friends, Becky Hammonds, and Danielle Woods and a host of family and friends
