Mary Lee Callahan

Mrs. Mary Lee Callahan age 82 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born to the late Demps Cummings and late Kassie Lowery Cummings on March 31, 1938. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 19 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hearl Dean Callahan (Pete), her brother, Hector Cummings, and a grandson, Kelvin Dwayne Bell.

Mrs. Mary loved reading her bible, grocery shopping, and puzzle books. But most of all she loved going to the United Pentecostal Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Mack Callahan (Shelby) of Red Springs, NC; two daughters, Rita Bell and Glenda Callahan of Red Springs, NC; 10 grandchildren, Brian Scott and Brittany Callahan of the home; Katasha  Oxendine (Weymon), Demps Locklear, Novella Locklear, April Cummings, James Callahan, Cornelius Callahan, Lashaunda Callahan and Elisha Callahan all of Red Springs, NC; 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, one nephew, Wayne Cummings, of Clayton, NC; a special friend of the family, Ronald Locklear of Red Springs, NC and a host of relatives and friends.
