Mr. Marvin Brayboy, age 75 was born to the late William Robert and Pearlie Lee Brayboy, on September 17, 1949 in Robeson County, North Carolina, departed this life on January 20, 2025 in the presence of his family.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Donald Brayboy, Edward R. Brayboy, Clyde Brayboy, Tommie Brayboy, Robert Brayboy and Charles Lee Brayboy; five sisters, Maggie D. Locklear, Dorothy Gilbeault, Doris Daignault, Jeanette Monte and Queen Esther Locklear; and the mother of his children, Priscilla Jones.
Marvin worked in sheetrock for over 40 years. He had a love for outdoors and enjoyed chickens and fishing. Everyone in the community knew him by “Chicken Marvin.”
Marvin leaves to cherish his memories: his two sons, Marvin John Dial, and Melvin Jr. Jones; three daughters, Shatasha Hunt (husband David), Angela “Angie” Jones, and Christina Jones; six grandchildren, Sylyndria Hunt, Marian Hunt, Lilyan Hunt, Madison Hunt, Hailey Dial and Little Foot Dial; one step granddaughter, Bella Legette, three sisters, Paul Ann Dimery, of Lumberton, North Carolina; Shirley Oxendine and Joyce Haywood, both of Rowland, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
