She departed this life on Saturday, March 02, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Aria D'asia Locklear and Ariel D'niya Locklear, her paternal grandparents, William "Bill" Brooks and Virginia Brooks, maternal grandfather, Marl Locklear

She leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, William and Pearlie Brooks of Shannon, North Carolina; three sisters, Sherrie Jernigan and husband Deric of Shannon, North Carolina, Rose McNeill and husband Rev Terrell McNeill of Shannon, North Carolina; Anita Locklear and husband Joshua Locklear of Shannon, North Carolina. Maternal grandmother, Jessie Ree Locklear of Shannon, North Carolina; Special friend, Tony Tillman. Nieces and Nephews, Deric, Dariene, Bethany, Argentina, Triston, Ethan, O'niya, and Aiyana.
