Ms. Louise Cummings was born March 25, 1940 to the late Tommy and late Kitty Mae Locklear. Ms. Louise, age 79 was a devoted mother of her 5 children, a loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She devoted her life to raising her children. During the struggle of being a single mom, she preserved by the mercies of God and with the support of her loving family. Her children were her most-prized possession. Throughout her life, she would reminiscence and share her memories with her children. She would recall the many early mornings when she would get up early to wash her children’s clothes to put them on the clothes-line and then walk to work. Her remarks would be that she loved her children and that during those struggles she always knew that her loving Savior was an ever-present help. She would say that through it all, HE never left me and that HE gave her the strength to raise her children. She made it known to all her children with words and deeds that she loved them with an ever-lasting love.
She departed this life and was called home on March 2, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Tommy Locklear, her devoted mother, Kitty Mae Locklear, her oldest sister, Catherine Wright, and the father of her children, Currie Cummings.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her oldest daughter, Annette Kenworthy{ Anthony} of Prospect. Her oldest son, Kinston Cummings (Angelita) of Maxton, her son, Tony Cummings (Tammy) of Maxton, her youngest son, of the home, Robbie Cummings, and her youngest daughter, Tina Marie Cummings.
She also leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her 5 sisters, Rosie Lee Deese, Annie Lois Locklear, Linda Hunt, Judy Chavis, and Patsy Clark, and her 2 brothers, Michael Chavis and Kim Locklear. Ms. Louise also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
