Katie Demery

Mrs. Katie Demery age 87 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on October 29, 1936, to the late Gilbert Hunt and the late Maggie Hunt in Dillon County, South Carolina. She departed this life on December 7, 2023. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Demery, three brothers: Johnny Hunt, Dock Hunt, Duck Hunt, one sister, Juanita Lambert.

Our Mother, Our Angel, Mrs. Katie loved her family, she loved life, loved to share laughter, she did not meet a stranger,  Katie worked at Kaiser Roth for many years and also at the South of The Border, she was an amazing mother, grandmother, an amazing woman all around. Katie loved to cook homemade meals for her family and friends, her famous fried chicken was a delicacy that the family truly enjoyed.

Mrs. Katie leaves to cherish her memories one son: James Demery (Mary) of Raynham, North Carolina, three daughters: Rose Mary Sencenbaugh (Keith) of Maxton, North Carolina, Barbara Carter (Darrell) of Raynham, North Carolina, Glenda Strickland (Duane) of Maxton, North Carolina, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, a special friend and her CNA: Robin Barton, a special thank you to Healthkeeperz, Dignity, and Amedisys, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
