Jerry Bartley

Mr. Jerry Bartley age 67 of Lumberton, North Carolina was born on May 30, 1953 in Robeson County and departed to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bartley, and his mother, Bertha L.Nance, two sons: Jerry Bartley Jr. and Joey Lynn Oxendine, two sisters: Rose Hunt and Lois Carter, three brothers, Junior (Money Hunt), Sevaston Bartley and James Bartley

He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church as an Assistant Sunday School teacher until 2016 before his health started declining. He loved fishing, cooking for family gatherings, watching other enjoy eating and fellowshipping. He loved his church family, enjoyed talking and fellowship with others.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 35 years, Chris Eve Hunt Bartley, three sons: Jeremy Keith Bartley (Wife Amy) of Pennslvania, Preston Lynn Bartley, and Alex Lynn Bartley of Lumberton, North Carolina; three daughters, Jerri Melissa Chavis (Husband Michael) of Red Springs, North Carolina; April Renee Jacobs (Husband Ryan) of Lumberton, North Carolina and Kayla Gail Emanuel of Raynham, North Carolina; four brothers: Stoney Ray Bartley (Wife Pat) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Jimmie Lee Bartley (Wife Diane) of Harrisburg, North Carolina; William Bartley (Wife Sharon) of Indiana and Michael Lewis of Charlotte, North Carolina, one sister, Ramylee Mayers (Husband Howard) of Pembroke, North Carolina; eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives. We would also like to thank Community Hospice Care of Lumberton for all their kind and diligent support.
