He departed this life on Sunday, January 05, 2020. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herman and Ceola Locklear, his maternal grandmother, Alma Brewer.

Locklear both of Lumberton, North Carolina; one daughter, Kaytlin Ciara Locklear of Raeford, North Carolina; four brothers, Quinn Locklear and Jonathan Locklear both of Maxton, North Carolina, Alan Carter and Steven Carter both of Lumberton, North Carolina; five sisters, Kirsten Oxendine and Latora Oxendine both of Lumberton, North Carolina; Whitney Jacobs of Pembroke, North Carolina; Nariah Locklear and Miranda Locklear both of Maxton, North Carolina; uncles: Stanley Scott, Edsel Scott, Thurmond Scott, Herman Daniel Locklear, Kendall Locklear, Orlando Locklear and Bryan Locklear. aunt: Pam Strickland. special cousin, Gina Strickland; a host of other family and friends.
