James “Mousey” Locklear was a dedicated US Army National Guard soldier for over 19 years and worked at Golf Pride for many years until he retired. He was also an auto mechanic and weapon repairer. He enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, knives, guns, and watching game shows, Nascar, and golf. He enjoyed cooking pies, chili beans, and canning making jelly and chow-chow.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grantford Locklear and Corina Locklear, the mother of his children Mildred Locklear, special friend of over 40 years Carlean “Bay” Wallace and bonus son Bobby Wallace.
Mousey is survived by his children Joyce Denise Revels (Michael) of Maxton, NC James Wayne Locklear (Christine) of Pembroke, NC, Christopher Ray Locklear (Jennifer) Red Springs, NC, Cherry Locklear (Robbie) and Melissa Goldman (Rodney) both of Raeford, NC, bonus Children Debra Oxendine (Chris), Becky Blue (David), David Wallace (Jennifer), Vonda Young (Vincent) all of Maxton, NC. One special Aunt Dottie Ray Locklear of Raeford, NC; Grandchildren, Santana, Shannon, Jamie, Reagan, Madison, Tiffany, Joshua, Joseph, Brittany, Kenneth Jr, Curren, Jasmine, Chris. Bonus grandchildren, Christy, Christopher, James, Carla, Dakota, Takota, Amya and finally to the special one that he so enjoyed cooking, canning, and collecting with “Rebecca”, 35 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends
