Mr. Hubert James McNeil, who affectionately was called "Peanut" departed this earthly realm, on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina. A man of strength, valor, and honor has gone to meet the Lord. We will miss his love for us, but we know God loves him more. So, He dissolved this earthly tabernacle and opened Heaven's door.
He was born of the late Mr. Wilbert McNeil and Mrs. Ferby Mathis McNeil on May 28, 1941, in Clinton, North Carolina; He was a devoted, caring, and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, with a great big a smile. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert McNeil, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three girls: Elizabeth Ann McNeil, Cynthia McNeil Johnson (Glasia/Doc), and Jennifer Yavonne Kemp (Earle) all of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Two sons: Antonio James McNeil (Michelle) of Kansas City, and Lamont McNeil (Lucy) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Latoya Evonne Johnson, Julius Javonne Johnson, T'rel Morton, and Angel McNeil all of Fayetteville, North Carolina; one great-grand: Leyla Sania Pinckney. Siblings: Deloris Cisse McNeil and Brenda McNeil -Bowie of Baltimore Maryland; Arlene McNeil; and Acquanetta McNeil of Wilmington, North Carolina; two aunts: Edna McNeil and Doris McNeil of Wilmington, North Carolina;, Two sisters-in-law: Julia Mae Bailey (Luther), and Shirley Ravenal (Dan), two brothers-in-law: Lawrence Dawson (Kim) and Frank Leo Dawson (Queen), two nephews, Gene Bryant of Clinton, North Carolina; and Terrell McNeil of Wilmington, North Carolina, and a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
