Mr. Hubert Jones Sr. age 75 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on July 11, 1948, to the late Laddie Jones and Christine Locklear Jones in Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this life on Monday November 20, 2023, at ECU Health, Beaufort, North Carolina. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph Thomas Jones and Roy Locklear, two sisters Lottie Jones Locklear and Mickey Jones.

Surviving are his son: Hubert Jones Jr., of Chocowinity, North Carolina, one daughter: Melissa (Lissa) Kay Jones of Farmville, North Carolina, four stepdaughters: Wendy Ramsey, Vickie Desourdy both of Washington, North Carolina, Mary McNelly of Pembroke, North Carolina and Tracy Noelke of Texas, seven brothers: Harold Jones, Clonnie Jones, Larry Jones, Shelton Jones, Ted Lowery, Lonzo Jones, Humphrey Jones, three sisters: Carol Locklear, Mary Smiling, Jewel Clark, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren along with a host of relatives and friends.
