Hearl D. "Pete" Callahan

Mr. Hearl D. " Pete" Callahan age 82 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on March 02, 1936 to the late Mr. Hughes Chavis and Carolina Driggers and departed this life on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Southeastern Hospice House. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father Mack Driggers and a grandson Kelvin Dwayne Bell.

Mr. Pete loved transfer trucks. He was a truck driver for over 21 years spending most of that time D&I Trucking Company in Maxton, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Mary Callahan of the home; one son Mack Callahan (Shelby) of Red Springs, North Carolina; two daughters Rita Bell and Glenda Callahan of Red Springs, North Carolina; one brother Jack Ransom (Connie)of Lumberton, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Brian Scott and Brittany Callahan of the home, Katasha Oxendine, Demps Locklear, Novella Locklear, April Cummings, James Callahan, Cornelius Callahan, Lashaunda Callahan, and Elisha Callahan all of Red Springs, North Carolina; 25 great -grandchildren, 2 great -great grandchildren and a special friend of the family Ronald Locklear.
