Haline Locklear

Haline Locklear "Bonnie" was born on October 29, 1965, to the late Betty Locklear and the late Rufus Edward Winbourne in Robeson County. On October 2, 2025, she entered into eternal life. Haline was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Tina "Callie" McNeill and Judith Carol Winbourne.

Haline devoted 20+ years of her life as a business owner to Chavis and Sons Masonry. She was a woman of purpose and determination as she proudly served her community as a EMT and later dedicated her time to home health care. Caring for others with compassion and patience that came straight from the heart.

Haline treasured her life spending time with all of her grandchildren and family. She loved traveling, reading, and drinking sweet coffee which brought her laughter and joy. She loved cooking good home cooked meals that brought her family together. Her warmth and laughter could fill a room, and her presence made every gathering feel like home. 

Haline will forever be loved and cherished by her best friend of the home: James Earl Chavis, her children: James Derek Locklear (Miranda), Candice Chavis (Marcus), Donovan Chavis (Abby), Kayla Chavis, James Earl Chavis Jr., a stepson: Michael Blue (Tomasita). her grandchildren she raised that know her as Mama: Johnnie Chavis, Jeremiah Chavis, Jakoby Chavis, Jayden Chavis, and J'Breonna Chavis, she is also survived by her other grandchildren: Solara Blue, D'anta Carter, Kirsten Locklear, Tristen Locklear, Daedran Carter, Daylon Chavis, Elijah Locklear, Ethan Chavis, Gabriella Blue, Neveah Locklear, Heavenly Locklear, Allie Chavis, Dedrick Carter, Kyleigh Chavis, James Chavis III, , Josiah Chavis, Naylah Chavis, Ja'Kai Chavis, Holana Chavis, Baby Chavis,  Aiden Chavis, Jacy Locklear, and  her great grandchildren: Paisley Chavis, Kayson Chavis, Ja'Kaydon Wilkins, and  Aylah Lowery, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
