Grady Henry Chavis

Mr. Grady Henry Chavis of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on December 26, 1937, to the late Mr. Septer Chavis and Mrs. Cora Lee Dial Chavis in Robeson County. He entered into eternity on December 23, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Bessie Dial Jacobs, three brothers, Donnie Chavis, Bobby Chavis, and Bradley Chavis.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Dorotha Locklear Chavis of the home, one son, Craig Allen Chavis (Janie Penix) of Kentucky, daughter ,Sylvia Chavis Huggins (Charles) of Red Springs, North Carolina; one sister, Helen Jones of Pembroke, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Amber Locklear (Christopher), Brooke Huggins, Craig Allen Chavis Jr, one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Locklear and a host of other family and friends.
