Franklin David (Polecat) Chavis

   Mr. Franklin David "Polecat" Chavis, age 51, of Laurinburg, NC, was born on August 1, 1972 to the late Mr. David Earl Chavis and late Mrs. Mary Joann Troublefield Chavis. He departed this life into eternity on June 16, 2024 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his niece Jordan Chyanne Chavis.

 He was an avid softball and basketball player. He enjoyed dancing and always encouraged his nephews to "Dream Big". His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins.

 He leaves to cherish his memories, one son: Crimson Chavis of Laurinburg, NC; one daughter: Sidney Chavis of Raeford, NC; one uncle: Charles Driggers; three aunts: Vivian Miller of Laurinburg, NC, Rose Oxendine of Rowland, NC, and Yvonne Tyson of Laurel Hill, NC; two sisters: Diane Locklear (Marty) and Tammy Chavis, both of Laurinburg, NC; two nephews: Martin Locklear and Marcus Locklear; two nieces: Joanna Oxendine and Alexis Mishue; three grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
