Mrs. Frances Gay Brown, age 67 of Fayetteville North Carolina, was born on January 31, 1958 in Robeson County to the late Nathaniel Gordon and the late Sue Nell Haywood Gay. She was joined in holy matrimony on December 6, 1989 to George Junius Brown who also preceded her in death. On January 6, 2026, Frances entered her eternal rest quietly in her home. In addition to her parents and husband, the siblings that also preceded her in death were: brothers: James Henry Gay, Clarence Gay, Terry Gay, James Gordon, Roosevelt Gay and Charles Gay; sisters: Betty Gay-Mitchell and Tama Gay Cheeks.
After high school, Frances obtained multiple college level certificates that enabled her to work over 30 years as a receptionist, switchboard operator, customer service representative and a custodian. She later became a personal care giver for many. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
she leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Anthony Terrell Gay, the nieces she raised: Adeja and Levelle Alexxus Muhammad (Lee Lee) both of Durham; brothers: Willie Gay (Minnie) of Durham/Red Springs, Kenneth Gay (Tracey) of Durham, Rodney Gay (Faye) of Red Springs, William Tony Gay; sisters: Rebecca "say-sister" Gay of Laurinburg; and a host of other family that lives on to cherish her memories.
