Mrs. Flora Jane (Brown) McBryde was born on October 20, 1928 in North Carolina to the late Mr. Ed Brown and the late Mrs. Katie Lee Brown. Flora Jane entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Arthur “Zen” McBryde, five sisters, three brothers, one daughter, Jessie Bell McBryde, and four grandchildren.
Flora attended Jesus Loves You Crusade Outreach Ministry, Incorporated in Red Springs, North Carolina. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior under the leadership of Dr. Rosa Galbreath. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend that loved her hats and also was a great cook in her day. She touched many lives with her love, kindness and her beautiful smile.
She leaves to cherish her memories ten children: Henry B. McBryde, of the home; Helen McCutchen (Glenn), of Raeford, North Carolina; James Marvin McBryde, of Red Springs, North Carolina; Everline Hailey, of Raeford, North Carolina; William Jr., McBryde, Billy Thomas McBryde, of Raeford, North Carolina; Lula Jane McBryde, of Raeford, North Carolina; Brenda Joyce McBryde, of Greensboro, North Carolina; Linda Joyce McBryde, of Raeford, North Carolina; Prentice McBryde (Valerie), of Raeford, North Carolina; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Along with special nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
