Evangelist Phyllis Ford Thornton died June 15, 2024 at the age of 79 at Hospice Facility in Columbus, Georgia. She was born to the late Vivian May Smith and the late George Kenneth Ford on January 21, 1945.
She was married to James F. Thornton, who preceded her in death on December 20, 2011. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, Chester Ford and his wife Marilyn of Fulton, New York; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends.
James and Phyllis were members of God’s Holy Tabernacle.
Phyllis worked at Bible College in Canada as a teacher, also at God’s Holy Tabernacle as a teacher and evangelist for 25 years with Pastor Audrey Hall. She traveled and ministered at other churches.
