Mr. Earnest Locklear age 77 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on January 11, 1947, to the late Mr. Jessie James Locklear and the late Mrs. Gertrude Locklear in Robeson County, North Carolina. He departed this life on January 8, 2025, at Morrison Manor Hospice Care in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his wife Mildred Locklear, two sons, Allen Locklear and Jimmy Locklear, step-son, Ronnie Locklear, five brothers, Hezzie Locklear, William Locklear, John H. Locklear, Peter Locklear, Johnnie Locklear, one sister, Louise Locklear, one grandson, Dalan Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Colleen Jones (Ronnie) of Hope Mills, North Carolina; Ernestine Locklear (John) of Red Springs, North Carolina; Angela Locklear of Virginia, two stepdaughters, Betty Locklear of Red Springs, North Carolina; Norma Locklear (James) of St. Paul's, North Carolina; three stepsons, Henry Jr. Locklear (Teresa) of Red Springs, North Carolina; Johnnie Locklear Jr (Sarah) of Maxton, North Carolina; Donnie Locklear of Red Springs, North Carolina; four sisters, Mary A. Locklear and Virginia Locklear both of Maxton, North Carolina; Maureen Clark of Lumberton, North Carolina; Diane Lambert of Red Springs, North Carolina, his nephew, Jerry Locklear. thirty-two grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren,6 great-great grandchildren. and a host of relatives and friends.
