Dorothy Maynor

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Maynor age 88 of Shannon, North Carolina was born on June 30, 1935, to the late Mr. Marvin and late Mrs. Ethel Mae Oxendine. She departed this earthly life on October 16, 2023, at her home. Along with her parents she is preceded by her husband, Prentice Maynor, her son, Robert Oxendine, two daughters, Rita Faye Locklear and Lori Ann Maynor.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons, Prentice Maynor Jr and wife Geneva of Rowland, North Carolina; Rev. Jackie Maynor and wife Margaret of Shannon, North Carolina; two brothers, Rev. Horace Oxendine of St. Paul's, North Carolina; Kenneth Oxendine of St. Paul's, North Carolina; sister, Lillian McGirt of Shannon, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Shaun, Kendrick, Philip, Jessica, August, Rebekah, Amy and Daniel, twenty-two great grandchildren, two special nieces, Nadine and Brenda, and a host of relatives and friends. A special thanks to her nurses Chesnea and Debra.
