Donavan Chandler Oxendine age 14 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on April 14, 2005 to Mr. Donnie Lee Oxendine Jr and Mrs. Latisha Dial Caldwell in Duval County, Jacksonville Florida. He transitioned into his heavenly home on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by one brother, Aidan Christopher Manning Caldwell, one uncle Shane Dial.
Donavan was a 9th grade student at Red Springs High School. He was a avid outdoorsman and sports fan he had a special love for baseball, bicycling, basketball, and was a die hard Carolina Tarheel Fan.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his father Donnie Lee Oxendine Jr (Meagan) of Maxton, North Carolina; his mother Latisha Dial Caldwell ( Anthony) of St. Pauls, North Carolina; three brothers, Le' Koda Oxendine, A.C. Caldwell and Corey Rowell of the home; two sisters Shania Caldwell and Ciera Caldwell both of Red Springs, North Carolina; paternal grandparents: Carolyn Chavis of Maxton, North Carolina; Donnie Oxendine of Red Springs, North Carolina; Maternal grandparents, Denise L. Dial of Pembroke, North Carolina and Lacy Dial of Georgetown, South Carolina; Papa A.C. and MeMa Faye, aunts: Anita Oxendine, Amy Woodell, Brooke Dial, Amber Dial and Robin Hunt. uncles: Brandon Dial (Nicole) Shawn Lloyd, Robert Lowery and Justin Medcalf, special cousins, April Oxendine, Kayla Oxendine, Aaliya, Elias, Jaden, Chloe, Colby, Amya, Liam, Ambrya, Gabriel, Nola and Kade. A special girlfriend Hallie Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
