Donald Dee Scott

Mr. Donald Dee Scott of Maxton, NC, departed this life on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at UNC Southeastern Hospital in Lumberton, NC. Donald was born on May 12, 1962, and is the son of the late Ms. Shelby Jean Scott.

He is preceded in death by his son: Mr. James Aaron Scott “Gwedo”; his sister: Kay Scott Graham; his aunt: Peggy Locklear; uncles: McKinley Locklear, Tiddy Scott, and James “Sonny” Alan Scott.

Donald leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Mrs. Denise Lowery Scott of the home; his daughter: Ms. Brianna Nicole Scott (Marcus Cummings) of Maxton, NC; and his son: Mr. Donald Heath Scott (Tyler) of Maxton, NC.

Donald, aka “Coon”, was loved by his grandchildren: Miss Gianna Cummings “GiGi”, Miss Alana Nicole Scott, and Miss Nyana Graham.

Donald also leaves to cherish his memories, his brother: Mr. Aubrey Earl Scott; his sister: Mrs. Pernisha Butler (Ronnie); his aunts: Mrs. Barbara McGirt, Mrs. Wanda Clark (Ronald), and Ms. Racheal Ammons; his uncles: Mr. Truman Scott (Lorraine), Mr. Hubert Locklear (Annie Ree); and two special friends: Timothy Pierce and Cameron Locklear.

Donald had a passion for old cars, collecting coins, and spending time with family. Donald touched the lives of so many people and will be deeply missed.
