David Leon McLaughlin

Mr. David (Mann) Leon McLaughlin, age 52, of Columbia, Maryland formerly Red Springs, North Carolina was born on June 7, 1971 to Ms. Mary Hazel McLaughlin and the late Mr. Albert Moore, Jr., in Robeson County, North Carolina.  He departed this life into eternity on February 5, 2024 in Columbia, Maryland.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carrie McLaughlin, Beatrice Monroe, Albert Moore, Sr., and Lucille Moore, one aunt, Barbara McLaughlin and uncle, Tyrone McLaughlin.

David graduated with Red Springs High School Class of 1990. He was employed as a chef in Columbia, Maryland.

He leaves to cherish his memories: One daughter, Maia McLaughlin, Seattle, Washington, his mother, Mary Hazel, McLaughlin, Red Springs, North Carolina; brother, Daniel McLaughlin, Red Springs, North Carolina; sister, Tammy Wayne (Willie), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; brother, Fredrick McCargo, Red Springs, North Carolina; adopted mom, Shirley McLaughlin, Fayetteville, North Carolina; one niece, Olivia Wayne and one nephew, Willie Wayne, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his grand aunt, Flora J. McLean, Red Springs, North Carolina; aunts, Alma Washburn, Franklinton, North Carolina; Gertrude McLaughlin, New York, New York; Sharon McLaughlin, Greenville, North Carolina; Rev. Dorothy Moore, Red Springs, North Carolina;  Linda McRae (Booker T.), Alpharetta, Georgia Maxine Wilson (Andrew), Conyers, Georgia; and Mildred Delores Tate, Cummings, Georgia; and Rena McLaughlin, Bennettsville, South Carolina; uncles, Rev. Alphonso McLaughlin, Red Springs, North Carolina; Charles McLaughlin (Gloria), Red Springs, North Carolina and Rev.
