Cranston was a lifelong member of the Elrod community. Known for his smile, his conversations of gest, and his helpful spirit among all members of the community. His trade by choice was construction, building, engineering, and ‘making it happen’ when it came to any construction or remodeling project. He became the go to person for all jobs large and small. Not too many homes in the community or surrounding areas have not been touched by his tradesman talent. Known as ‘Mr. Fix it,” Cranston was always a phone call away. He lived an adventurous life, enjoying seasonal hunting for Deer and ‘coon.’ Proudly known for his deer hash and sausage. During his younger years, he and his older brother would build and work on race cars, luckily for them, the cars never made it pass the community tracks. Cranston was a dear friend to many in the community of Elrod and beyond. He took care of his older neighbors’ needs during his younger years and became the person that was taken care of during the last few years. Cranston expressed gratitude and thankfulness for his family, neighbors, and friends of the Elrod Community and those who lived on Branham Rd. He was born, lived, and departed in the community he called home, and would not have wanted it any other way.
