Ms. Clara Barton, age 83 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born August 29, 1940, to the late Mr. Sam Locklear and the late Mrs. Athlee Locklear in Robeson County. She departed this life on June 26, 2024, at the residence of her beloved daughter, Carolyn Barton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Ronald Barton, five brothers, Johnnie “Frog” Locklear, Hank Locklear, Harry “Red” Locklear, Curt Locklear, Amos Locklear, two sisters, Kathleen “Kat” Locklear and Geraldine “Lucy” Locklear.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Carolyn Barton, Diane Locklear, Barbara Locklear, two sons, Troy “Porter” Barton and Charles Barton, Kisha Locklear and Harry Locklear whom she helped raise, three brothers, Jerry “Bay” Locklear, Carlton “Bubba” Locklear and Carson Locklear, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-eight greatgrandchildren and twelve great-greatgrandchildren, as well as her beloved pet, Diamond Barton, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
