He departed this life into eternity on October 20, 2023, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his father, Vardell Jones, four brothers, Delton Ray Jones, Oscar Jacob Jr, Dwight Nelson Jones, Carl Edward Jacobs.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Lelia Cecille Lowery of Red Springs, North Carolina; mother, Bonnie Jacobs of Pembroke, North Carolina; three brothers, Michael Jones, Jarvis Dwayne Jones both of the home, Vardell Jones Jr of Red Springs, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.
