Brandon Scott McMillan, born on December 25, 1987, in Lumberton, North Carolina, passed away on January 26, 2026.
Brandon was a fun-loving soul with a natural gift for making people laugh. He had a way of lighting up a room without trying—through quick wit, playful sarcasm, and an infectious sense of humor that made people feel at ease. Brandon loved deeply, laughed loudly, and left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be missed in the quiet moments and the loud ones alike.
Above all, Brandon cherished his role as a father. He is survived by his beloved son, Isiah McMillan, who was the pride of his life and the center of his heart.
He is also survived by his mother, Karen Hopkins; his father, James Hopkins; Randy McMillan, his brother, Brian Tatum, and his wife Chrissy; his niece and nephew, James Tatum and Caitlyn Tatum; his sister, Hannah Allen, and her husband Jacob; and his grandmothers, Carol Giddens and Polly McMillan.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Tatum and Chester Giddens.
Brandon’s legacy lives on through the laughter he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will endure in the hearts of those who loved him.
Any donations can be made to the New Harvest Church of God at 12792 NC-211, Red Springs, NC 28377.
