Mrs. Beverly Prather age 53 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on September 20, 1970, to the late Mr. Nolan Jones and the late Virginia Jackson in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on January 26, 2024, at McLeod Regional in Florence, South Carolina. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Prather, one son Shawn Jackson, mother-in-law Betty Prather.
Beverly Prather spent so much of her life caring for others. She sometimes forgot about herself. Beverly had the raising of far more children than she bore, and she accepted that responsibility whole heartly and with open arms. Not only did she feed their bodies, but she done her best to nurture their souls. Beverly was strongly dedicated to her husband Daniel Prather, her sons Shawn, Brandon, and Shane. She cared for all of her children with an unconditional love only a mother could know, but nothing could top the love and affection she had for her grandchildren Selah and Kylegha. Beverly will be remembered to all who were blessed enough to truly know her as someone who worked hard but loved harder.
Beverly leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Brandon Jackson (Kristy) of St. Pauls, North Carolina, Shane Prather of Red Springs, North Carolina, a stepson: Chris Locklear of Red Springs, North Carolina, one sister: Renee Jackson of Red Springs, North Carolina, two grandchildren: Kylegha Jackson and Selah Marie, Aunts: Ann Hardin, Della Lambert, Doris Jacobs, uncle: Terry "Catfish" Jacobs, special nephew; Sanchez Jacobs, Cousin: Justin Hardin, brothers-in-law: Jonathan Prather, Jeffrey Prather, sisters-in-law: Linda Cooper, Hattie Locklear along with a host of other relatives and friends.
