Barbara Blue McLaughlin

Mrs. Barbara Blue McLaughlin age 83 of Raeford, North Carolina was born on May 22, 1939, to the late Mr. Alex James Blue and the late Mrs. Mary Frances McLean Blue in Hoke County. She departed this life into eternity on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at FirstHealth Hospice House. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Phillip McLaughlin, siblings Lula Mae Blue, Earlie Mae Blue, Sarah Blue Cook, Martha Lee Bridgers, Laura Blue, Mattie Blue, George Blue, Betty Graham, sister-in-laws ,Sally Bell (George Ray) Hattie Nicholson (George), Mary Frances Breeden (John).

She joined Friendship Grove FWB Church at early age, and she did confess Christ Later on in life. She was a faithful member until her health failed, Her hobbies were walking, cooking for her family, cleaning, folding clothes, riding her bike and talking to her friends on the phone until her health failed. Mrs. Barbara was employed at the House of Raeford for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son: Elder Maurice McLaughlin and Pamela of Raeford, North Carolina, her daughter: Sherry Smith of Raeford, North Carolina, five grandchildren, Deneishia McLaughlin, Sheriqua Smith, Pam Tronya McLaughlin, Sherena Brown and John, Maurice McLaughlin Jr; god-granddaughter,Jeadah E. Rogers, four great-grandchildren: Courtney McLaughlin, Shaniyah Brown, Trevor Kilcrease, Deyviahn TaQuan Kraut, sisters-in-law, Martha Williams, Flora Dixon, Louise Frieson Roger, Dorothy Blue, brother-in-law: John Archie McLaughlin and Dorothy, friends: Eunice McLean, Lancy Bell Willis, and Patricia Melvin, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
