Ala Sue Locklear Obituary

Ms. Ala Sue Locklear age 65 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on August 17, 1959, to the late Mr. James Locklear and Mrs. Annie Hall Hunt in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life into eternity on Friday, November 08, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Along with her biological parents she is preceded in death by her adopted parents, Fuller Locklear and Isella Locklear, three brothers Willie Douglass Locklear, Earnest Locklear and Junior Locklear, three sisters, Mildred Myers, Annie Lee Locklear, (twin sister) Alma Lee Locklear, two nieces, Genella Oxendine, Katrina Ann Locklear, three special friends, Sherman Locklear, Jack Strickland, Joe Chavis, 

 Ala Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, and a sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Ala Sue was employed at UNCP until her retirement. She loved working and was a friend to many. She will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Bryan Locklear Jr (Tina) of Iowa, two daughters, Christy Locklear (Nicholas Strickland) of Rowland, North Carolina; Samantha Locklear (Jacob Bullard) of Maxton, North Carolina; six brothers, Barry Locklear, Fuller Jr Locklear, Thurman Locklear, Carey Locklear, James Locklear, and Alton Dean Locklear. eight sisters, Isadora Clark, Regina Locklear, Jean Locklear, Ashley Hicks, Betty Ann Hernandez, Brenda Locklear, Elaine Oxendine, Gearline Locklear. grandchildren, Bryan (Taylor) Locklear, David Estrada, Tony (Cecilia) Estrada, Ricky (Ariel) Estrada, Nicolette Strickland, Branlon Locklear, Jacob Jr. Bullard, Jasper Bullard, Jameson Bullard, great-grandchildren, Greyson Estrada, Bryson Estrada, Skylar Jacobs, Ava Lee Estrada,  eight special friends Ms. Flo and Ms. Lisa from UNCP, Ricky Hunt, Sandra Woriax, Janice Tedder, Makayla Hammonds, Stella Grooms, Michelle Brigman, three special nieces, Billenna Richardson, Gail Oxendine and a host of other relatives and friends. A special Thank you to Scotland Hospice in Laurinburg, North Carolina, We appreciate all the love that Crystal and Carey showed to our mother during her time of illness.
