Obituary

Mr. Wallie Jones age 72  the son of the late Britton and Carrie Locklear Jones was born on October 4, 1949, in Robeson County, North Carolina. On Thursday, October 7, 2021, he departed this earthly life at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Wallie is affectionately known as Pook. He attended Hawkeye Elementary School, also Hoke High School, then left school to join the United States Army, which landed him in Vietnam. He was proud of his Military ventures. Later he was awarded his high school diploma by the president of the United States George W. Bush at that present time. Wallie loved his family and cherished his grandchildren. His lifelong profession was sheetrock finisher.

Wallie was preceded in death by his parents Britton and Carrie Jones, three brothers Wilbert Jones, Rodney Jones, and Britton Jones Jr., two sisters, Sadie Mae Jones and Mary Frances Britt, one grandchild Kayla Jones.

Wallie leaves to cherish his memories his wife Annie Lois Jones of the home, three daughters: Heather Jones, Amy Jones, and Melissa Jones all of Shannon, North Carolina, three stepdaughters: Mary Smith of Raeford, North Carolina, Lisa Roper (Tim), Pamela King all of Fayetteville, North Carolina, four sons: Marlin Monroe of Lumberton, North Carolina, Wallie Jones Jr. of Shannon, North Carolina, Ezekiel Jones ( Harmony) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Christian Jones of Shannon, North Carolina, three sisters: Myrtle Register of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Tessie Floyd ( Tick )  of Laurel Hill, North Carolina, Rose Bolton of Hope Mills, North Carolina, four brothers: Russell Jones ( Carrie) of Pembroke, North Carolina, Walter Jones (Annette) of Shannon, North Carolina, Ronald Jones (Peggy) of Pembroke, North Carolina, Edward Jones (Arlinda) of Pembroke, North Carolina, one brother-in-law: Charles Goodman of Shannon, North Carolina, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, a special nephew affectionaly known as Moses, along with a host of nieces, nephews,, cousins and friends.
